How to clean your wellies

When cleaning your Wellington boots always use clean water, dry them with a towel if possible and leave them in a well ventilated cool dry place to dry. After cleaning it is advisable to use a silicone protector spray (follow the instructions which will be on the can), if your boots have got a zip pay special attention to make sure all traces of dirt are removed from the zip, once clean you can apply some silicon spray or gently rub a candle on the zip this will help to prolong the hassle free operation of the zip. By just taking care of your boots you can prolong the life of them by years!

 

Storing your wellies

Never place them on radiators or close to other hot heat sources because these can weaken your boots, at the other end of the scale don’t leave them somewhere that is damp or freezing, by taking care of your wellies you will help to prolong the life of them. If you have got thigh length booths it is advisable to hang them on a boot rack to stop them folding over.
